Shlokas 51–53 – Purifying the Self
Sanskrit:
बुद्ध्या विशुद्धया युक्तो धृत्याऽऽत्मानं नियम्य च।
शब्दादीन्विषयांस्त्यक्त्वा रागद्वेषौ व्युदस्य च॥
विविक्तसेवी लघ्वाशी यतवाक्कायमानसः।
ध्यानयोगपरो नित्यं वैराग्यं समुपाश्रितः॥
अहंकारं बलं दर्पं कामं क्रोधं परिग्रहम्।
विमुच्य निर्ममः शान्तो ब्रह्मभूयाय कल्पते॥
Hindi:
जो व्यक्ति शुद्ध बुद्धि से युक्त है, आत्म-नियंत्रण करता है, विषयों का त्याग करता है, राग-द्वेष से मुक्त है, एकांत प्रिय, अल्पभोजी, वाणी-शरीर-मस्तिष्क में संयमी, ध्यान में स्थित, वैराग्य से युक्त, अहंकार, बल, अभिमान, काम, क्रोध और संग्रह से मुक्त है — वह ब्रह्म की प्राप्ति के योग्य होता है।
English:
One with purified intellect, self-controlled, having given up sensory cravings, free from likes and dislikes, who practices solitude, moderation, discipline of body, speech, and mind, absorbed in meditation and free from ego, pride, desire, anger, and possessiveness — becomes fit to realize Brahman.

Liberation begins with purification — not as repression, but as **refinement** of the self. This is the groundwork of inner freedom.
Shloka 54 – Attaining Brahman
Sanskrit:
ब्रह्मभूतः प्रसन्नात्मा न शोचति न काङ्क्षति।
समः सर्वेषु भूतेषु मद्भक्तिं लभते पराम्॥
Hindi:
जो ब्रह्मरूप हो गया है, वह शांतचित्त, शोक और इच्छा से रहित, सभी प्राणियों में समभाव रखने वाला होता है और वह मेरी परम भक्ति को प्राप्त करता है।
English:
The one who becomes Brahman — serene, free from grief and desire, and equal to all beings — attains supreme devotion unto Me.
🪔 Insight:
Peace is the sign of one who has merged into Brahman. From that peace, **true devotion blossoms.**
Shloka 55 – Devotion Reveals God
Sanskrit:
भक्त्या मामभिजानाति यावान्यश्चास्मि तत्त्वतः।
ततो मां तत्त्वतो ज्ञात्वा विशते तदनन्तरम्॥
Hindi:
भक्ति द्वारा मनुष्य मुझे जैसे मैं वास्तव में हूँ, वैसा जानता है और फिर मुझे पूर्ण रूप से प्राप्त होता है।
English:
By devotion, one truly understands Me — who I am in essence — and knowing Me thus, enters into Me completely.

Devotion is not mere ritual — it’s **direct realization through love.** It leads to total union with the Divine.
Shlokas 56–60 – The Power of Surrender and Devotion
Sanskrit:
सर्वकर्माण्यपि सदा कुर्वाणो मद्व्यपाश्रयः।
मत्प्रसादादवाप्नोति शाश्वतं पदमव्ययम्॥
चेतसा सर्वकर्माणि मयि संन्यस्य मत्परः।
बुद्धियोगमुपाश्रित्य मच्चित्तः सततं भव॥
मच्चित्तः सर्वदुर्गाणि मत्प्रसादात्तरिष्यसि।
अथ चेत्त्वमहंकारान्न श्रोष्यसि विनङ्क्ष्यसि॥
यदहंकारमाश्रित्य न योत्स्य इति मन्यसे।
मिथ्यैष व्यवसायस्ते प्रकृतिस्त्वां नियोक्ष्यति॥
Hindi:
जो व्यक्ति सभी कर्मों को मेरे आश्रय में करता है, वह मेरी कृपा से शाश्वत पद को प्राप्त करता है। अपनी बुद्धि को मुझमें लगा कर, मेरे परायण होकर, सभी कार्य मुझे समर्पित करके सदा मुझमें लीन रहो। मेरे प्रसाद से तुम सभी बाधाओं को पार कर लोगे। यदि तुम अहंकार के कारण मेरी बात नहीं सुनते, तो नष्ट हो जाओगे।
English:
Even while performing all actions, one who takes refuge in Me attains eternal, imperishable peace. Offer all actions to Me, be devoted to Me, and focus your mind on Me. By My grace, you will overcome all obstacles. But if out of ego you do not listen, you will perish. Your nature will compel you to act regardless — even against your will.

Surrender isn’t passive — it’s the **wisest choice when faced with our limitations.** Trust Krishna, and your path will rise to meet you.
Shloka 61 – The Divine Dwelling in All
Sanskrit:
ईश्वरः सर्वभूतानां हृद्देशेऽर्जुन तिष्ठति।
भ्रामयन्सर्वभूतानि यन्त्रारूढानि मायया॥
Hindi:
हे अर्जुन! परमेश्वर सभी जीवों के हृदय में स्थित हैं और माया द्वारा सभी को उनके कर्मानुसार घुमाते रहते हैं।
English:
The Lord dwells in the hearts of all beings, O Arjuna, and by His maya, makes them revolve as if on a machine, according to their nature.
🪔 Insight:
The Divine isn’t “out there.” He is the **inner witness, guide, and mover** of your journey.
Shloka 62 – Seek Refuge
Sanskrit:
तमेव शरणं गच्छ सर्वभावेन भारत।
तत्प्रसादात्परां शान्तिं स्थानं प्राप्स्यसि शाश्वतम्॥
Hindi:
हे भारत! उसी परमेश्वर की शरण जाओ पूरे हृदय से। उसकी कृपा से तुम परम शांति और सनातन पद को प्राप्त करोगे।
English:
O Arjuna, take refuge in Him alone with all your being. By His grace, you will attain supreme peace and eternal abode.

Real surrender happens when we give not just our problems — but our **whole heart** to the Divine.
Shloka 18.63 – You Are Free to Choose
Sanskrit:
इति ते ज्ञानमाख्यातं गुह्याद्गुह्यतरं मया।
विमृश्यैतदशेषेण यथेच्छसि तथा कुरु॥
Hindi:
इस प्रकार मैंने तुमसे यह सबसे गुप्त ज्ञान कहा है। अब इसे भली-भांति विचार कर, जैसा तुम्हें उचित लगे, वैसा करो।
English:
Thus, I have revealed to you this most secret wisdom. Reflect on it fully, and then do as you wish.

Krishna never demands — He invites. Even after all teachings, He gives Arjuna the freedom to choose. **Real guidance honors your autonomy.**
Shloka 18.64 – Krishna’s Most Loving Message
Sanskrit:
सर्वगुह्यतमं भूयः शृणु मे परमं वचः।
इष्टोऽसि मे दृढमिति ततो वक्ष्यामि ते हितम्॥
Hindi:
अब मैं तुमसे फिर यह अत्यंत गोपनीय श्रेष्ठ वचन कहता हूँ, क्योंकि तुम मेरे परम प्रिय हो — इसलिए मैं तुम्हारे हित की बात कह रहा हूँ।
English:
Hear again My supreme and most confidential word. You are very dear to Me, and so I will speak what is most beneficial for you.

This is Krishna's heart speaking — not as a guru, but as a divine friend. He doesn’t just instruct — **He loves.**
Shloka 18.65 – Love Me. Surrender. You Are Mine.
Sanskrit:
मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु।
मामेवैष्यसि सत्यं ते प्रतिजाने प्रियोऽसि मे॥
Hindi:
मेरा चिंतन करो, मेरे भक्त बनो, मेरी पूजा करो, मुझे नमस्कार करो — तुम निश्चित रूप से मेरे पास आओगे। यह मेरा सत्य वचन है, क्योंकि तुम मुझे प्रिय हो।
English:
Think of Me always, become My devotee, worship Me, bow down to Me. You shall surely come to Me — I promise, for you are very dear to Me.

This is Krishna’s **personal vow of love.** He doesn’t just want obedience — He asks for your heart. And promises never to abandon you.
🌟 Shloka 66 – The Essence of the Gita
Sanskrit:
सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।
अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः॥
Hindi:
सभी धर्मों को छोड़कर केवल मेरी शरण में आओ। मैं तुम्हें सभी पापों से मुक्त कर दूँगा — चिंता मत करो।
English:
Abandon all forms of duty and simply surrender unto Me alone. I shall deliver you from all sins. Do not grieve.
